Another terrorist leader was named in the Rewards for Justice program today:
The U.S. Department of State has authorized a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to the location of Mohammad Ilyas Kashmiri. Kashmiri is the commander of the terrorist organization Harakat-ul-Jihad al-Islami (HUJI), which supports al-Qaida. Since 2001, he has led HUJI training camps and his organization has launched several attacks in India and Pakistan.
On March 2, 2006, HUJI launched a suicide bombing against the U.S. Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, which killed four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy, and injured 48 others.
It's the least we can do for the perpetrator of an attack that killed one of our citizens, one of our local employees, and a Pakistani soldier posted to our consulate.
